CSR ITC Human Rights Policy
ITC Human Rights Policy
1.Compliance with Laws
ITC respects fundamental human rights in accordance with laws and international standards. We are committed to ensuring that our operations do not directly or indirectly lead to human rights abuses.
2.Prohibition of Forced Labor
ITC employs all workers of their own free will and does not impose any form of forced labor.
All work shall be voluntary, and employees have the right to resign freely upon providing reasonable notice. Employment conditions do not require employees to surrender money, government-issued identification, passports, work permits, or similar documents (money includes insurance premiums or excessive recruitment fees).
There are no unnecessary restrictions on access to company facilities, nor any unfair restrictions on movement within the workplace. Employees are provided with written employment terms prior to commencement of work.
3.Respect for Fundamental Human Rights
ITC respects the human rights of all employees and prohibits harsh or inhumane treatment, including abuse and harassment of any kind.
This includes, but is not limited to, physical punishment, sexual harassment, power harassment, or any treatment that could lead to such behavior.
4.Prohibition of Child Labor
ITC never employs anyone below the minimum working age.
5.Prohibition of Discrimination
ITC is committed to eliminating discrimination in recruitment and employment and strives to ensure equal opportunity and fair treatment.
In recruitment, hiring, job assignment, promotion, wages, training, disciplinary action, or termination, applicants and employees will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, skin color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, nationality, health condition, disability, genetic information, medical condition, pregnancy, religion, beliefs, social status, marital status, family status, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
6.Fair Wages
ITC complies with all applicable laws and regulations relating to wages and benefits, including minimum wage, overtime, wage deductions, and statutory benefits (such as social insurance), and compensates employees in accordance with these laws.
Employees receive pay statements in a timely manner, and wages will not be unfairly reduced.
7.Working Hours
ITC manages employees’ working hours, holidays, and leave appropriately to ensure compliance with legal limits.
- Annual working days shall not exceed the legal limit.
- The company shall comply with any applicable labor-management agreements regarding overtime work, including Article 36 agreements under Japanese labor law.
- Employees shall be provided with at least one day off per week.
- Employees are granted legally mandated annual paid leave.
8.Right of Employee Association
ITC respects employees’ right to associate freely as a means of facilitating labor-management consultation on working conditions and wages.
(Respecting the right to associate includes ensuring that employees are free to organize and protest without fear of retaliation, threats, or harassment.)
