CSR ITC Occupational Safety and Health Policy
ITC Occupational Safety and Health Policy
ITC is committed to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace for all employees and other persons in our workplaces. We comply with all applicable occupational safety and health laws and regulations and are dedicated to achieving our goal of zero occupational accidents.
1.Safety Measures for Machinery and Equipment
ITC implements appropriate safety measures for all machinery and equipment used in our operations. We ensure that machinery does not pose risks to employees through the use of safety devices, protective guards, and rigorous maintenance programs.
2.Workplace Safety
ITC assesses risks to workplace safety and implements technical and managerial measures to ensure a secure working environment.
Risks are managed through preventive actions, established safety protocols, and ongoing safety education.
Furthermore, employees are provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, suitable for their specific work environments to ensure operational safety.
3.Workplace Hygiene
ITC identifies, evaluates, and controls workplace exposures to hazardous chemicals, physical agents such as noise, and other health risks.
Necessary engineering and administrative controls are implemented. When required, appropriate protective equipment is provided to safeguard employee health.
4.Occupational Accident Prevention
ITC prioritizes the safety and health of employees by implementing preventive and management measures to avoid occupational accidents.
Should an accident occur, the focus is on a thorough investigation and analysis to implement effective countermeasures and prevent recurrence.
5.Emergency Preparedness and Response
ITC develops emergency response plans to protect life and safety by anticipating potential disasters and accidents.
These plans, which include emergency reporting, employee notification procedures, clear evacuation methods, emergency facilities, medical supplies, fire detection and suppression systems, external communication channels, and recovery plans, are communicated effectively throughout the company.
Awareness is reinforced through regular evacuation drills and by displaying emergency contact information in conspicuous locations. In any emergency situation, employee safety is the utmost priority.
6.Facility Safety
ITC ensures that facilities provided for employee welfare, such as cafeterias and restrooms, are maintained in a safe, hygienic, and good condition for use.
7.Employee Health Management
ITC conducts legally stipulated health checkups for all employees to prevent and facilitate the early detection of illnesses.
We also address the prevention of health impairments due to overwork and provide mental health care support.
